On Saturday May 26th, I, among others attended the Support PGP Meet hosted by the guys at Importmeet.com. PGP Motorsports Park was one of the busiest tracks in Washington for amateur drifting and lapping days last summer and recently, due to a court ruling by King County, they’re now restricted to only four-stroke go karts. This pretty much made a lot of people upset. The whole issue about the Conditional Use Permit can be found here.

Last Saturday the second annual Forum Fest was put on by NOS Energy Drink and nwmotiv. Forum Fest is a show for all makes and models, competing for not only the best in show, but for various categories such as best stance or best team represented.
It was a typical Washington day, the sky was cloudy and there was a slight breeze. That definitely didn’t stop people from coming out though! The show didn’t officially start until 10am, but by the time that I got there around 8:30, the VIP parking lot as well as the show area were both nearly full.
By the time the show “officially” started at 10 there was a wide variety of cars there. It ranged from static Subarus to Scions on air ride. The Lowerclassmen were also there in full force, showing everyone how they do it with their classy rides.
I didn’t stay for too long, but from what I saw there were a lot of clean rides in attendance. Overall, the show was a really fun time and a great way to start off the summer!
Oh, and drifting was going on throughout the day. Nico Castronuevo got some pretty cool shots:

This past weekend was a very eventful one for the Pacific Northwest Automotive scene with events going on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Friday night started off with a bang, as NW Motiv and NOS teamed together to rent out the top floor of the Cascade Parking Garage at Southcenter Mall in Renton, WA to throw a big release party for the new Fast Five movie.
It was a great and successful meet, very reminiscent to Hot Import Nights or something you would see off of a Fast & Furious movie. As I walked up the stairs to the top, I encountered many 20 something year olds along the way and I could hear the exhaust notes of STI’s, big turbo BMW’s, and S14′s; a sign that something big was going on. Then once I arrived on the top level, I was blinded by masses of people and cars, combined with a cloudy but nice Pacific Northwest sunset.
It really was a great time, most of the people there were familiar faces and the whole event was pretty laid back. The NOS girls being present was also a nice added touch. 
Throughout the event, NW Motiv had a raffle that gave away 200 tickets to the premier of Fast Five, and each car that was on display received two tickets to the movie. NOS gave out an unlimited supply of energy drinks to attendees. Much thanks to both parties that helped put together this great event.

Last Saturday NOS Energy drink held a release party for the new flavor that is being released, Charged Citrus, at Griot’s Garage in Tacoma, Washington. The day started off like every other Pacific Northwest day: dark, cloudy, and a little bit of rain here and there. However, the gloomy looking weather did not stop all types of enthusiasts from coming out early to try and snag from free swag and try out the new flavor of NOS.
The event drew crowds from all different scenes. The cars ranged from Hondas and Volkswagens to low-rider trucks and exotics. It was really fun to see all the different types of cars from around the area.
The turnout was so big that by 1pm Griot’s parking lot was filled and people were driving up and down the street outside to search for a parking spot. Most people ended up having to park in another parking lot somewhere else and then walk to Griot’s. Everyone was in a good mood though, the sun even came out from behind the clouds for a while!
Overall it was a really fun time and it was great to see all the clean cars the area has to offer. It was a blast to see a lot of familiar faces at the meet as well as a bunch of new ones!
