This past Saturday Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, WA served as the venue for Round 5 of Formula D. The Pacific Northwest has a very underrated drift scene but the sold out crowd at Evergreen represented Washington, Canada, and Oregon to the fullest.
Hometown hero and FD rookie Walker Wilkerson in his Purple Sr20det S13 is shown here keeping up with 2nd place finalist of the event Chris Forsberg in his V8 powered 370z during a practice run.
Walker wasn’t able to get past the 1st round of the top 32 but is still placed 16th overall.

Another driver that was exciting to watch was FD veteran Rhys Millen driving the Red Bull Hyundai Genesis.

Dai Yoshihara fought all day and came out victorious claiming first place.

2010 Fd winner Vaughn Gittin JR tries to finally get a victory against Dai but is unsuccessful
If you’ve never been to a Formula D event, I can honestly say you’re missing out. Everything from the sound of the engine backfire to the continuous smell of burnt rubber, it’s something every car enthusiast should experience. Be sure to check out all of the photos below!
