RE: KatieO's 04 Subaru Rumble Wagon
Adding a FMIC wouldn't be beneficial in any way with what I have done to my car at this point.
Not to mention, I would have to cut my bumper, which I'm also not willing to do yet. Plus make the scoop only for looks which would be lame... etc....

Thanks for the love guys.

My car will be at the Golden Gardens meet on Saturday, so if you see it come say hi. Smile

RE: KatieO's 04 Subaru Rumble Wagon
nowhere did i use that word. But stating that putting something on a car around here for looks alone is the norm. Give me 1 reason for a "stanced, fitted, flush" or whatever else its called car, other than looks. The decals, stickers, wheels, stretched tires. All looks. So saying you wont move your IC just because your hood scoop would be for looks only brings some serious LULZ

Really.... Re-read my post. I never said I wouldn't move it JUST because of the hood scoop. Lol...
I'm not moving my IC because it would be stupid and a waste to do so with my set up. I have no need of a front mount. And yes, having a non-functioning hood scoop on my car, in my opinion, is stupid. IF I was to do a FMIC, I'd get a hood without a scoop.

Why don't you go troll somewhere else...

RE: KatieO's 04 Subaru Rumble Wagon
Not trying to stir the FMIC pot, but I have a couple friends who did a front mount and then used a hood off a non-turbo car. I think thats the best look.

Thats being pretty nit picky on a very well done car. Looks fantastic as is. Great job.

Edit: Now that I actually read the entire thread this has already been discussed. Carry on.

Nice Subie!
It was done by Performance Coatings in Auburn. I don't know what exactly they use.

I dont post often for this reason. But front mounts recieve a helluva lot more airflow than top mounts, unless you cut a gigantic hole in the hood. Its colder, more dense air too and less heat soak. Where did you learn auto mechanics...
