Race gas on the old set up

2005 SRT4

Built motor
CNC'ed head with cams and gears
8k redline
Custom sidewinder manifold
BW S368 with custom T4 turbine wheel in a T3 housing

We were limited to 29.5 psi due to the 3 bar sensors in it at the time and as you can see we had to move the dyno over from RPM to speed due to tire slip on the dyno (weird looking TQ table).

The car ran pretty good on this setup but we had some issues with the OEM tone wheel and oil pump that caused us to go with a bigger and better turbo. I hope to have a full tune on the current set up (low boost) in a week or two, I will post the dyno's then.

Thanks

^^^ god damn!!! any pics of this beast? engine bay shots?

RE: Dyno Graphs - ptperformance - 01.06.2011 09.25 PM

SRT4 Caliber

Stock motor, stock head, twin fuel pumps feeding a monstor 10AN fuel rail. Custom turbo kit running 32 psi on a 110 degree day. Race gas and still on the OEM crap redline.

Hope you like!

you should probably make an intro thread, yo..

just sayin..

Not many pictures were taken of the old set up, but I do have a few of the new set up. I will see about getting them posted in a build thread. The new turbo is a full 6mm larger and can support 1250 WHP at the crank... its HUGE!

Here is something to tease you with...

Ya, so far I am really happy with both cars. Just have to get back to the damn dyno, and make my goal.

To be honest with you, I don't know. I made 600 WHP at 22 psi on pump gas in about 5 pulls last week, the new set up is retarded and we haven't even started to work the turbo yet.

I have high hopes of making 1000 WHP with the new set up. The turbo can do it, the motor was built for it, and if I don't blow it up on my way to 1000 WHP I have a 125 shot of spray to push us over that mark.

It has been a long haul, first we lost a motor, then a tone wheel, then we started running into valve train issues (float even though we had dual springs), then we killed an OEM "treated" oil pump, then we bent a crank. After building parts to fix these problems (billet oil pump, tone wheel, camshaft straps, and going to back to a standard crank with 6 lbs removed (not 12)) we just might have a motor that will hold together when we shoot for the 1000 WHP mark.

Its the RPM that is killing the parts in the car and this time around... we might have it (should, everything is billet now, LOL).

Next week, I should be on the dyno for a few hours to dial in the pump gas tune. Want to have over 650 WHP, which should be pretty easy.

RE: Dyno Graphs - Stevo151 - 01.06.2011 10.21 PM

hell yeah man sounds like you got it all planned out! slap that 125 shot on there! get that turbo spooling up faster Biggrin lol
