sup sup, did this one today. corvette c6 carbon fiber hood & convertible cow area. came out great! hood was a lil tricky with the 2 mold lines and the curving shape, center console part was not too bad, but the cow cover took some skilled heating and stretching to get it to conform nicely. came out great tho! owner is down here for the weekend from vancouver ca. Do you color interior plastics? Im looking to get all my interior plastic colored black and get red door inserts.

RE: Wu! Wraps work done by me! check it out! - Wu! Wraps - 04.17.2012 02.25 PM

U should just grab some plastic paints and spray them... I mean I can wrap them all if that's what your asking. If its plastic and smooth vinyl will work just fine. Vinyl will not stick to cloth/ vinyl hide/ leather products very well. But yea i would recommend u just pull the plastic parts out that u want to paint and get some duplicitous plastic paint and do DIY. That's what I did with all my e30 interior plastics.

lookin' good! Do you sell vinyl? Wanted to wrap my car but also a do-it-yourself person Smile

RE: Wu! Wraps work done by me! check it out! - Wu! Wraps - 04.23.2012 11.12 PM

llDemonll you can buy vinyl anywhere. u want oracal 970ra or 3m 1080. full roll is 5'x75', more than enough for your evo9. runs around $650 shipped online. you might get away with 50' or less so its best to measure it up or be safe and buy the whole roll. i buy it for the same price so no need to buy from me.

bmw e92 interior trim re-do. owner bought car from someone with the trim wrapped previously wrapped (not by me). however the trim wrap was not good. all the important edges that need to be folded/ wrapped around the edges were not done this way, all open edges for ashtrays, vents, etc. were cut right at the edge... this is a big NO NO which lead to all the lifting! the original plan was to try to "fix/ touch up" the corners but when there's nothing to secure it to on the backside its game over. ended up re-doing all trim except for the rear passenger trim pieces. this vinyl was the original chinese cf vinyl with no air release... PITA to instal because you gotta press/ roll out all the air and pop small bubbles, still being sold through many online retailers and all over ebay. but the end result is a great look, kinda glossy black like 3m 1080 with a larger print like 3m di-noc. also did the slats of the hood in 3m 1080 cf, matte black front bumper reflectors & matte black emblem decals. owner is very happy with how it all turned out! RE: Wu! Wraps work done by me! check it out! - Wu! Wraps - 04.27.2012 10.26 PM

so did this one at CNC in bellevue WA. 3m 1080 matte black on all the chorme window trim, trunk bezel and the license plate frame. owner wanted a more chalky matte so i went with the 3m 1080 matte black vs. the oracal 970 matte black (which is more satin), also since the chrome butts up against the rubber seal sooo tight on the door trims. the oracal 970ra being a 4mil vinyl would have problems conforming/staying down against rubber edges where as the 3m 1080, a 2mil vinyl is thinner and will conform better. came out great! this car is a beast! guess its pushin around 700hp and is tracked and daily driven. owner is very happy with the new look!
