In the past year or so, the PNW Automotive scene has grown drastically. It seems that the automotive world nowadays is so fast paced and changing constantly; fortunately the Northwest has been keeping with the trends and growing in the process.
Now that the “Stance” movement has become a worldwide phenomenon, people everywhere are pushing the boundaries for new fitment and lowness. Sure, you may call it just another fad; or blatantly put, “rice”. But you have to admit that when executed properly, a car can become a real head turner or even just a good conversation starter. Bringing a huge contribution to all of this is the place we call home – the Pacific Northwest. And what better way to showcase some of these well executed cars than to put on an all day event? It would be called Tailored, and hosted by StanceWorks at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma, WA.
The turnout was great, and people came from all over the country to attend the event. I even heard of a couple people that flew in from out of country. Never before seen projects were unveiled to the public, and familiar rides were in attendance. Lots of sponsors presented new products as well as represent their companies with clothing and stickers. Music was played throughout the day, and event organizer Mike Tolliver was the voice heard throughout the stadium. A couple of appearances from the godfathers of StanceWorks, Mike Burroughs and Ben Terry dressed up in suits for the occasion.
After the show, an after-party was thrown at the Hotel Murano in Tacoma, WA while the night was still young. New friends were made, and getting together with old friends was even better.
Overall, the event was a huge success and was just a taste of what the Pacific Northwest has to offer. My opinion is that our scene will only continue to grow, and become one of the biggest influences within the country. Just another reason to be proud of living in such a beautiful place.

Last Saturday the second annual Forum Fest was put on by NOS Energy Drink and nwmotiv. Forum Fest is a show for all makes and models, competing for not only the best in show, but for various categories such as best stance or best team represented.
It was a typical Washington day, the sky was cloudy and there was a slight breeze. That definitely didn’t stop people from coming out though! The show didn’t officially start until 10am, but by the time that I got there around 8:30, the VIP parking lot as well as the show area were both nearly full.
By the time the show “officially” started at 10 there was a wide variety of cars there. It ranged from static Subarus to Scions on air ride. The Lowerclassmen were also there in full force, showing everyone how they do it with their classy rides.
I didn’t stay for too long, but from what I saw there were a lot of clean rides in attendance. Overall, the show was a really fun time and a great way to start off the summer!
Oh, and drifting was going on throughout the day. Nico Castronuevo got some pretty cool shots:

The Pacific Northwest got hit by a bunch of snow yesterday and this morning, and almost every area has been affected. Some places have an inch or two, while others have over 6. We hope you stay safe out there if you have to drive.
If you have any snow photos to share, be sure to check out the forum and post some there!
