One of our missions here at nw-built is to provide the Pacific Northwest with an outlet where cars and people of all different types and color can join together in one place – in essence, bringing to light the diversity of our region. Last year we took it upon ourselves to fulfill that mission by hosting an event at Golden Gardens in Seattle, WA. It was a huge success being our first big event, and welcomed over 400 cars. Most importantly it showed that people and cars of all types can get together without all of the e-thuggery/flaming, to have a great time and enjoy the Pacific Northwest automotive scene & atmosphere.

So this past weekend on the 19th, I had the pleasure of attending Wekfest down in San Francisco, California. On the morning of the event, a group of guys and I started waiting in line at 4am even though the event didn’t start until 1pm. We wanted to beat the crowd because we heard that there usually is a big turnout which causes people to wait for a ridiculous amount of time.

On December 17th, 2011, I got to attend PNW Nissan and Infiniti‘s Winter Meet. Everyone met up at Burnstead in Redmond, WA and we all hung around and talked with one another as we waited for more cars to come. The plan was to go on a cruise route and it consisted of first going up to Lynnwood and meeting at the new Dick’s in Edmonds and then head back down to Alki.

How did you pick up this car?

I purchased the car through a family friend who decided that the car was not for him to keep. He figured that since I was a family friend, and that my dad also takes very good care of his own cars, selling the car to me would be a good choice where it will be taken care of and not get trashed.

I had the pleasure of checking out NWMotiv’s Toy Drive at Speedware Motorsports in Redmond last Saturday on the 10th, and it was a pretty good turn out. I’ve never been to Speedware before so when I walked into their shop/warehouse, I was in awe.
