I purchased the car through a family friend who decided that the car was not for him to keep. He figured that since I was a family friend, and that my dad also takes very good care of his own cars, selling the car to me would be a good choice where it will be taken care of and not get trashed.

This Johnjohn tuned Black STI made 422whp 399wtq on a dyno last month and the tuning hasn’t even been finished. The owner is heading out to serve his country and care for some troops in some corner of the world so the work will have to be placed on hold.

I had the pleasure of checking out NWMotiv’s Toy Drive at Speedware Motorsports in Redmond last Saturday on the 10th, and it was a pretty good turn out. I’ve never been to Speedware before so when I walked into their shop/warehouse, I was in awe.
Walking in there brought back the feeling of why I love cars so much. I was like a little kid in a candy shop seeing all of the parts and projects cars that they had on display. Just like NW Toy Run’s meet, I was happy to see everyone brave the weather and come to help out for a good cause.
According to their Facebook, NWMotiv collected over 500 toys and over $250 in cash donations for Toys for Tots. With all these donation including ones from the NW Toy Run meet, kids in need will hopefully have a brighter Christmas.

This past Sunday was the NW Toy Run Meet at Pacific Raceways and I must say that it was pretty awesome. There was a great turn out and a variety of different cars. I got there around 12:30pm and there was already a lot of cars. I ran into some friends and saw a lot of familiar faces.
There were many cars that I haven’t seen before and some that I’ve seen at other meets. It gives me a good feeling to see so many people come together for this cause and to donate toys for children in need.
According to NW Toy Run’s Facebook, there was a total of about 2000+ cars and they managed to fill their trailer with lots of toys. Last year, they had a turn out of about 1300 cars and filled up a 27′ trailer with toys. Also, they raised about $3500 to give to those in need.
I give the guys at NW Toy Run props for putting these events together and they’ve been around since 2004. They use the power of the car community to their advantage and they are using it for a great cause. They have their minds and their hearts in the right place.
